Organizer FAQ
Straight answers before you move ticketing over.
Pricing, payouts, scanning, team access, data ownership, and fit.
What is Urba for event organizers?+
Urba is event ticketing software for organizers. It helps you create event pages, sell paid or free tickets, scan QR tickets at the door, track sales, and get discovered in city feeds.
How much does Urba ticketing cost?+
Ticketing starts at 99 cents per ticket. There are no monthly fees, setup fees, or lock-in contracts. Stripe processing recovery is shown separately from Urba service fees.
What happens on tickets under $10?+
Tickets under $10 use a flat 99 cent Urba service fee. Tickets priced at $10 or more use 99 cents plus 1%. This keeps cheap community and nightlife tickets simple while letting larger tickets scale fairly.
Do organizers pay monthly fees?+
No. Event organizers pay Urba only when tickets sell. Restaurants using Urba reservations have separate monthly plans, but event ticketing has no organizer subscription.
Who pays the ticketing fees?+
Buyers pay the Urba service fee and payment processing at checkout. Those fees are not deducted from the organizer payout.
How do payouts work?+
Urba uses Stripe Connect. Trusted organizers can receive most proceeds quickly with a visible refund reserve. New, unverified, flagged, or full-hold events may be held until the post-event reserve window clears.
Can organizers check in guests with Urba?+
Yes. Urba includes QR ticket scanning, guest-list tools, offline-capable check-in, and real-time event analytics for the door team.
Does Urba help people find my event?+
Yes. Public events can appear in Urba city feeds and discovery surfaces for people looking for local plans.
Can my team help manage the event?+
Yes. You can invite co-organizers, managers, promoters, venues, performers, and door staff with scoped permissions so finance, promotion, and scanning access stay separated.
Do I own my attendee data?+
Yes. Your audience is yours. Urba does not sell your attendee list or hold your export hostage, and event reporting stays visible in your dashboard.
Who should use Urba right now?+
Urba is built for standard local events: concerts, club nights, tastings, pop-ups, comedy, workshops, community events, and small-to-mid festivals. Enterprise hardware, RFID, and dedicated onsite staffing are outside Year 1 scope.
